Where Are the Birds?

Birds are one of the most popular topics in writing, and it’s not hard to tell why. They have a mesmerizing presence that can move people from boredom to awe within seconds. From the grandfathers among us who spend their days birdwatching on the porch, to those that watch birds through telescopes day after day at work or school-birds offer something for everyone!

How do you get a wild bird to come to you?

A: You can try to attract a bird by making noise, or you can try to scare it away. If you are trying to attract the bird, make a lot of noise and throw some food in the air. If you are trying to scare it away, do something scary like clap your hands loudly or yell boo.

Why are there less birds in North America?

A: The North American continent is a large land mass with many different habitats that birds can live in. In Europe, the continent is smaller and more densely populated, which has led to fewer birds migrating from Europe to North America.
