Eagles have been around North America for centuries, but they are only one of the many types of birds in the region. Some other famous bird species include: crows, blue jays, woodpeckers and ravens- just to name a few!.

How many types of bald eagles are there?

A: There are six different types of bald eagles. These include the Haliaeetus leucocephalus, the Haliaeetus leucogaster, the Haliaeetus vociferans, the Haliaeetus leucocephalus alascensis, the Haliaeetus leucogaster alascensis and the Haliaeetus vociferans alascensis.

 

There are many types of hawks in North America. These include the Northern Goshawk, Cooper’s Hawk, and the Swainson’s Hawk. Reference: types of hawks in north america.
